Welcome back to our journey! As you already know, we’ve been staying at the Regalia Suites residence in KL for the past month. So, after our workout session at the gym in Regalia Residence. We decided to continue on a Kuala Lumpur walking tour to discover even more of what this vibrant city offers. Our destination this time? The charming village of Kampung Baru, also known as Kampong Bharu, is right here in Kuala Lumpur.
Kampung Baru in Kuala Lumpur
Kampung Baru is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. It lies northwest of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), near major landmarks such as Jalan Tun Razak and Jalan Sultan Ismail. Despite the surrounding urban development, Kampung Baru retains its distinct identity as a traditional Malay village.

At that time, we walked from the Regalia Residence to the Kampung Baru street food area and back, covering a distance of 6 kilometers. Kampung Baru looks like a beautiful village. Some houses still made of wood and streets lined with beautiful trees. As we looked around, the towering buildings of Kuala Lumpur reminded us that this charming village is right in the heart of the city.
We strolled through the Kampung Baru night market, which was bustling with restaurants and food stalls. Also, offering a vibrant and delicious experience.

Quill City Mall Kuala Lumpur
After exploring the vibrant street food scene in Kampung Baru Malaysia , we headed back to our accommodation and walked past Quill City Mall. It would have been a shame to just walk by, right? So, we decided to go inside and see what it had to offer.
At that time, the mall wasn’t as crowded as Putra Mall, but it was beautifully decorated for Chinese New Year, with a large gold dragon adding to the festive atmosphere.
We wandered around, looking for something to eat, and found a Thai restaurant called Thai OK Express it on the 4th floor. The food was delicious, and while we are there the environment reminded me of my hometown.
