Kuala Lumpur Natural Attractions

Kuala Lumpur is not just a city of tall buildings and busy streets; it also has some amazing natural spots. In this article on Kuala Lumpur Natural Attractions, we’ll take you to three beautiful places in the city. First, we’ll explore the hiking trails in Malaysia , a peaceful green area perfect for nature walks. Next, we’ll visit the Perdana Botanical Garden, where you can enjoy colorful flowers and quiet ponds. Finally, we’ll head to the KL Bird Park, home to many different bird species in a lovely, natural setting. These spots show that Kuala Lumpur Natural Attractions are full of nature, even in the heart of the city.

First, Laman Taman Tugu Hike Trails

The first place we will take you to enjoy is the Taman Tugu Hiking Trail. I must say, hiking these trails is my favorite activity, and every time I enter the forest, it brings a sense of peace and healing to my mind. Sometimes, we need to escape from the city to enjoy and listen to ourselves in nature, right? So, let’s enjoy our hiking at Kuala Lumpur !

Laman Taman Tugu Trails are located in Taman Tugu Park, near the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This urban forest park is close to the Perdana Botanical Garden. So, we walked there, and along the way, we were surrounded by tall trees and saw many monkeys (To be careful, as they can steal your stuff). The sounds of nature all around were truly wonderful.

We took the shortest trail route that time because we have more places to vitsit. The park has clean toilets, a place to shower, and a small shop where you can get fresh coconuts. So, Let’s enjoy some time at Laman Taman Tugu KL . If you like nature, I’m sure you will be happy for hike in KL or you can go hiking near Kuala Lumpur because Malaysia is full of beautiful mountains

After finishing our coconut water, we headed to Perdana Botanical Garden, which is conveniently nearby and easy to walk to. This beautiful 91.6-hectare park offers a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle. Here, known for its diverse landscapes, the garden features themed areas like the Sunken Garden, Hibiscus Garden, and Orchid Garden, each showcasing unique plants and flowers.

Also, one great feature is the opportunity to learn about nature on your own. Almost every tree in the garden has a QR code for information. Simply scan the QR code with your smartphone and internet connection to access details such as the tree’s name, age, size, and other interesting facts. Perdana Botanical Garden is full of knowledge that you can enjoy without getting bored.

KL bird park Kuala Lumpur Natural Attractions

The last one before heading back to our accommodation, we visited KL Bird Park. After exploring for half a day, we were quite hungry from expending so much energy. Before entering the KL Bird Park, we discovered the Hornbill Restaurant conveniently located nearby. This restaurant offers Malaysian cuisine, and the dishes we ordered were delicious. While enjoying our meal, we had a special guest—the beautiful bird Hornbill flew down around our table and walked around. It was a delightful surprise that perfectly complemented the restaurant’s name.

Now Let’s jump inside the KL Bird Park.

  • KL Bird Park ticket was around 85 MYR/Person
  • Open Everyday 9AM – 6PM

KL Bird Park is one of the largest covered bird parks globally, featuring a diverse collection of birds in a naturalistic environment. Spread over 20.9 acres in Lake Gardens, it’s a peaceful place away from the city.

The park is divided into different zones that look like natural habitats for many bird species. You can explore areas like the World of Parrots, Brahminy Land, and Hornbill Park. Each zone has spacious cages that imitate where the birds are from.

A special part of KL Bird Park is the free-flight aviary. Here, you can see colorful birds flying and living in a tropical rainforest. The park has over 3,000 birds from around 200 types, including rare ones like hornbills, parrots, and peacocks.

Besides seeing the birds, visitors can join feeding sessions and watch bird shows to learn about their behaviors.
