The basic step:
Pattaya → Sri Racha → Koh Loi Pier → Ferry → Koh Si Chang
We will guide you through every step from our experience.
Step 1 : Pattaya to Sri Racha
First things first, get from Pattaya to Sri Racha.

From our experience, this is the easiest way to get from Pattaya directly to Koh Loi Pier in Sri Racha. The distance Around 30 km from central Pattaya, travel time around 35–45 minutes depending on traffic
and the prices around 200–350 THB.

Drop-off point: Robinson’s department store in Sri Racha or the clock tower at the market. Make sure to confirm with your driver before you get in so you know exactly where they will drop you. Then take tuk-tuk to Koh Loi pier.

If you have your own car or are renting one, you can simply drive from Pattaya to Koh Loi Pier via Sukhumvit Road (Route 3) heading north toward Sri Racha. There is parking available near the pier area in Sri Racha, where you can leave your car while you are on the island.

Once you arrive in Sri Racha, you need to get to Koh Loi Pier. This is the only pier where the ferry to Koh Sichang departs.

Koh Loi Pier address: Koh Loi Pier, Si Racha, Chonburi Province Map
At the pier you will find: Ferry ticket counter (buy your ticket here). There are some food restaurants and the temples
Our tip: Arrive at the pier at least 15–20 minutes before the ferry departure. Then, just buy your ticket at the counter and wait for the boat to be ready.
Step 3 : Ferry From Sri Racha to Koh Si Chang
This is a plublic ferry, not a speedboat, so the ride is relaxed and comfortable.
Ferry ticket price: Around 60 THB per person (one way)
Journey time: Around 45–50 minutes
First ferry: 08:00 Last ferry back from Koh Sichang: Around 20:00
The ferry runs throughout the day so you do not need to stress too much about timing. However, on Thai public holidays and long weekends the boat can get quite busy with Thai families visiting the island, so it is worth arriving a little earlier if you are traveling during those times.
During the crossing you will have nice views of the Gulf of Thailand and the island approaching from the sea. It is a very pleasant ride.
Our tip: The ferry is open-air on the sides, it can be breezy on the water even on a hot day. If you burn easily, bring some sunscreen or sit in the shaded section inside the boat.

- Book Grab in advance: On busy mornings in some areas of Pattaya it can take a few minutes longer to get a driver. Open the app before you are ready to leave.
- Bring cash: The ferry ticket and most things on the island are cash only. ATMs exist on the island but are limited. Bring enough baht before you leave Pattaya.

- Pack light: You are on a scooter for most of the day. A small backpack with sunscreen, water, a change of clothes, and your camera is all you need.
- Check the weather: The island is beautiful in almost all seasons, but check the forecast before you go, especially during rainy season (June–October).
What to Do When You Arrive on Koh Si Chang
Koh Si Chang is a small island that you can explore fully in one day. From our experience, the first place we recommend you head to is Hat Tham Phang, the only sandy swimming beach on the island. The water is clear and calm, very good for swimming, and the sunbeds are only 30 THB for the whole day which is incredibly cheap. Tum Pang Beach Koh Sichang

After the beach, make sure you visit Chong Khao Khat the famous cliff walkway with some of the best sea views on the island and the perfect spot for sunset.
