Things To Do In Da Nang After Dragon Bridge And Marble Mountains

Da Nang activities review: what to do once you’ve seen the big three sights

One of the first questions every tourist asks when they land in Da Nang is what to do next. Most people already know the big three sights: Dragon Bridge, Marble Mountains, and Lady Buddha. This blog is a Da Nang activities review. It covers what to do once those spots are ticked off the list. Da Nang isn’t just about the photo stops everyone knows. There is a whole side of the city most tourists never see.

For this article, we stayed longer in Da Nang. We looked for something different than the average tourist who just passes through. We will guide you through our experiences step by step: archery and coffee, a beach food truck, My Khe Beach itself, and a VR arena we didn’t expect to enjoy this much.

Things To Do In Da Nang

Archery And Coffee At CEN Archery Da Nang

What is CEN Archery Da Nang?

CEN Archery & Coffee, Tea is an archery range with a Japanese-style theme. You’ll find it at 20 Vo Nghia, Phuoc My, Son Tra, Da Nang. From our experience, this isn’t just an archery club. It also runs as a café. You shoot a few rounds, then sit down with a drink right after, without even leaving the building.

CEN Archery location: 20 Vo Nghia Street, Son Tra, Da Nang

Opening hours: Daily, 6 AM – 10 PM (extended hours during Tet)

Price: From around 100,000 VND for one hour, equipment included

Is it good for beginners?

Yes. We are not archers by any means. The instructor still walked us through stance, how to hold the bow, and aiming technique before we shot a single arrow. You can also just watch and drink coffee if archery isn’t your thing. Nobody will push you to shoot.

What did we drink?

We tried the salty coffee and the coconut coffee. Both came in the same relaxed space, with cherry blossom decoration and a calm Japanese feel. As we said, CEN Archery isn’t just about the bow and arrow. The coffee break afterward is honestly half the reason to go.

Safety rules:

  • Staff watch every lane closely
  • Bows use a beginner draw weight
  • Kids need to be 8 years old or above to try it
  • First-timers always shoot with an instructor present

Caribou Food Truck: The Cheaper Way To Enjoy My Khe Beach

What is Caribou Food Truck?

Caribou Food Truck is a bright yellow food truck. You’ll find it right on My Khe Beach. This is a common question, because some beach towns charge you for a sunbed just to sit near the water. At My Khe Beach, we found a better option. Grab a coconut and a seat near Caribou instead of paying for a sunbed you’ll only use for an hour.

Caribou Food Truck location: My Khe Beach (My An), Da Nang

Price range: Around 50,000–80,000 VND for drinks and snacks (coconut water, coffee, banh mi, fried chicken)

Why we liked it:

  • Open-air seating right on the sand
  • Great for sunset, since it faces the sea directly
  • Cheaper than most beachfront cafes nearby
  • No pressure to rent equipment or a chair

You can also order a Grab or Bolt car to get there, if you’re not staying within walking distance of My Khe Beach.

My Khe Beach Da Nang: Is It Worth Staying Longer?

Is there an entry fee for My Khe Beach?

No. My Khe Beach is free to access, just like most beaches in Thailand. You can walk, swim, and set up your things without paying anything.

Things To Do In Da Nang

What are the advantages and disadvantages?

My Khe Beach has long, wide sand and a real “postcard” look. That’s why it’s one of the most photographed beaches in Vietnam. From our experience, though, the water stays shallow for a long stretch. Some spots have half-meter holes in the seabed. Walk in carefully. Don’t just run straight into the waves.

  • Good: Endless sand, easy access, lots of food trucks and cafes nearby
  • Watch out for: Shallow water with sudden dips, plus marked surf zones you shouldn’t swim through
  • Safety: A lifeguard patrols the swimming limits, so stay inside the marked zone

Does the beach change after rain?

Yes, noticeably. We went back after a rainy afternoon. The sand and water looked completely different from the clear, calm morning version. Keep this in mind when you plan your beach day around the weather.

Best time to visit My Khe Beach:

  • Early morning, before the day gets too hot
  • Late afternoon into sunset, when Caribou and the other beach trucks fill up

Another World VR: Da Nang’s Newest Indoor Activity

What is Another World VR Da Nang?

Another World VR (AW VR) is a free-roam virtual reality arena. You’ll find it on the third floor at 323 Tran Hung Dao Street, An Hai, Son Tra, Da Nang. This is a good backup plan on a rainy day. It’s also just a fun evening activity after a full day at the beach.

Another World VR location: 323 Tran Hung Dao Street, 3rd Floor, Son Tra, Da Nang

What can you play?

  • PVP one-on-one matches
  • Team PVE against robots and zombies
  • Racing simulators, Gran Turismo style, with VR glasses

How does booking work?

You book through a QR code and a short form. No app download needed. We also liked that staff hand out hygienic masks to wear under the VR glasses. Not every VR arena bothers with that.

Is it worth doing in Da Nang?

If your itinerary is already full of temples and beaches, Another World VR breaks things up nicely. It works especially well in the evening, once the beach activities wind down.

Our Suggested One-Day Plan For This Side Of Da Nang

  • Morning: CEN Archery & Coffee, shoot a few rounds, then relax with coconut or salty coffee
  • Midday: My Khe Beach, swim inside the marked zone, watch for the shallow spots
  • Afternoon: Caribou Food Truck, coconut water and a banh mi by the sand
  • Evening: Another World VR, PVE, PVP, or the racing sim as your rainy-day or night backup
