Our Experience Staying at Thai Tan Tien Resort Phu Quoc: Affordable, Peaceful, and Close to the Beach
This was our second time visiting Phu Quoc Island Vietnam. And this time we were looking for a place to stay for a longer period—a 3-month stay. After searching for a place that’s quiet, close to the beach, and budget-friendly, we decided to stay at Thai Tan Tien Resort Phu Quoc. It turned out to be a great choice for what we needed.
Cheap Accommodation in Phu Quoc Near the Sea
Thai Tan Tien Resort is one of the best options if you’re looking for cheap accommodation in Phu Quoc. That’s just a short walk from the sea. The resort is located in the Long Beach area, which is very popular among travelers. From our bungalow, it took just a minute to walk to the beach, making it easy to catch the sea breeze and watch the sunset.
We stayed during the rainy season in Phu Quoc, so the sea wasn’t as beautiful as during the dry season. There was also a bit more pollution in the water due to the weather, which is something to keep in mind if you’re planning a trip around this time.
Friendly Staff and Memorable Experiences
One thing that really made our stay special was the friendly and kind staff at the resort. Everyone was helpful and welcoming, which made us feel at home.
On one of our first days, we walked to the beach and saw a local guy who sells coconuts. What made it even more fun was when he climbed up the coconut tree and we asked if we could try it too. He happily agreed and let us try getting coconuts ourselves. It was such a unique and fun experience—something we’ll always remember.
Quiet Location, Perfect for Long Stays
The resort is located in a quiet area. It’s not noisy at night, which was great for us since we were staying long-term and needed peace to work and relax. The rooms are simple, but for the price and the location, it was just right.
If you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay in Phu Quoc for a short or long trip, and you want to be close to the beach without spending too much, Thai Tan Tien Resort is a great option.

Yes! We would absolutely stay at Thai Tan Tien Resort again. It’s affordable, close to the sea, and has a calm atmosphere with kind people around. It’s also a great place to stay if you’re visiting during the off-season and want a peaceful base to explore the island.
