Nual Beach Koh Larn” – A Quiet Escape with White Sand and Wild Monkeys
After writing about “Tawaen Beach Koh Larn”, we continued our island journey by renting a scooter and exploring more hidden spots. Our destination? Nual Beach Koh Larn, also known as Monkey Beach Koh Larn. We had been here before and shared our story check here, but this time we wanted to visit again—to see the monkeys and capture the scenic views with our drone.
What is Nual Beach in Koh Larn Known For?
“Nual Beach” is one of the quieter beaches on Ko Lan. It’s a peaceful alternative to the busy Tawaen Beach. Many tourists call it “Monkey Beach Koh Larn” because monkeys often come down from the hills—especially when they know bananas are around! It’s become one of the must-visit spots when searching for “things to do in Koh Larn”.
Our Experience Visiting Nual Beach Again
We were excited to see the monkeys again and maybe get better photos this time. But nature had other plans. There weren’t many monkeys around when we arrived—maybe because we came late in the afternoon. Most tourists bring snacks like bananas to feed them, so maybe the monkeys were already full and had gone back into the forest.
Even without the monkey crowd, the view was still amazing. We took out our drone and captured the calm atmosphere, clear sea, and distant mountain views. It’s easy to understand why many travelers search for the best views in Koh Larn—this beach definitely makes the list.
Swimming at Nual Beach – Be Careful of the Rocks!
If you’re looking to swim, “Nual Beach” is not the best spot. There are a lot of sharp rocks in the shallow water. I actually got a small cut on my toes while walking in. If you’re planning to go in the water, wear water shoes or stay closer to the sandy part.
But the white sand is still beautiful, and the beach isn’t too crowded. That makes it great for relaxing, sunbathing, or just enjoying the view with a drink in hand. It’s a great spot for travelers who are searching for “quiet beaches in Koh Larn”.
How to Get to Nual Beach Koh Larn
The easiest way to reach Nual Beach is by scooter or songthaew (shared truck taxi) from the main Na Baan pier. Just tell the driver you’re heading to Monkey Beach, and they’ll know where to take you. The road to the beach is a bit hilly but well-paved, making it a fun ride for adventure lovers.
Is Nual Beach Worth Visiting?
Yes, but with the right expectations. If you’re hoping to swim, you might prefer other beaches like Samae Beach or Tien Beach. But if you’re searching for a peaceful vibe, good photo spots, and a chance to spot monkeys in the wild, “Nual Beach Koh Larn” is definitely worth the trip.
Final Thoughts
Koh Larn has so much more to offer than just its main beaches. “Nual Beach” gave us a different experience—quiet, natural, and a bit wild. Even if we didn’t see many monkeys this time, the peaceful scenery made it all worth it.
So if you’re planning your trip and looking for less crowded Koh Larn beaches or want to experience the wild side of the island, don’t skip Nual Beach.
