Taxi to the airport in Phu Quoc, Vietnam
Do we have everything? That the question I asked my partner before we headed to Phu Quoc International Airport.
After spending a month exploring Phu Quoc, it was finally time to return to Thailand. We checked every corner of our apartment to make sure we didn’t leave anything behind. After checking out and saying goodbye to the staff and the dogs at the resort, we got into a airport taxi transfers.
At that moment, I had mixed feelings. I knew I would miss this island, but did I really have to leave? At the same time, I couldn’t wait to be back home, especially for my favorite Thai food!
We traveled for about 15 minutes before arriving at Phu Quoc International Airport and paid the taxi driver around 2 euros.
Phu Quoc to Bangkok Flight
Once we arrived at the airport, we noticed it wasn’t very big. There were a few shops open around the check-in area, but unfortunately, there were no chairs for waiting. If you wanted to sit, the only option was to go to a coffee shop, buy a coffee, and sit there.
So, we headed straight to check in for our flight. We were flying from Phu Quoc to Bkk with Vietjet air, and since they don’t allow online check in, the only option was to check in at the counter.
Before travel back at Phuquoc airport
After passing through immigration control, we found a restaurant near our gate to sit and relax. Since we still had some time before boarding, we decided to check out the souvenir shops to pick up some gifts for our family. There were only a few souvenir shops before the gate, but they had some nice options to choose from.
It felt like the final moments of our time in Phu Quoc, and as we browsed the shops, I couldn’t help but reflect on all the memories we had made here. The warm beaches, the delicious food, and the laid-back island life—it was hard to say goodbye. But at the same time, the thought of going home to Thailand, seeing our loved ones. And enjoying our favorite Thai dishes made the farewell a little easier.
