Train No. 13: Night Train with Sleeper Cabins
Hello Thailand! We began our journey at Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal (Bangsue Grand Station) to take the overnight train to Chiang Mai. We booked Train No. 13, which is known for its sleeping beds and air-conditioned cabins.
As we were two people, we booked a private room with two beds. If you’re traveling solo, don’t worry — you can book a shared room, and during booking, you’ll be able to select male/female preference for shared spaces.
Inside the Train: Clean, Vintage, and Comfortable
Although the outside of the train looks a bit vintage, the inside was very clean and surprisingly comfortable. The beds were cozy, and the staff was helpful. There’s even a kitchen bogie (train car) where you can walk to check out food options. You can buy breakfast on board, and prices are clearly displayed.
