Bus From Jomtien To Bangkok

Jomtien Bus Station Pattaya: Your Complete Guide to the Airport Bus

Most travelers staying in Jomtien ask the same two questions: how to catch the bus from Jomtien to Bangkok, and how to get to Suvarnabhumi Airport without spending a fortune on a taxi. Both answers start at Jomtien Bus Station on Thappraya Road.

For the airport, Roong Reuang Coach runs a direct bus every hour from 06:00 to 22:00, in both directions, for only 162 THB. The journey takes around 2 hours, and the bus drops you directly at the departures terminal, no transfers, no extra steps.

What is the Jomtien Bus Station?

Jomtien Bus Station, also called Jomtien Suvarnabhumi Airport Bus Station, is one of the two main bus stations in Pattaya. While North Pattaya Bus Station handles routes to Bangkok city terminals like Ekkamai and Mo Chit, Jomtien Bus Station is the dedicated hub for direct buses between South Pattaya and Suvarnabhumi Airport.

The station is operated by Roong Reuang Bus the same company that runs the Bangkok routes from the north of the city.

Bus From Jomtien To Bangkok

If you are staying in Jomtien or South Pattaya, this is the station you want. It is far more convenient than going all the way to North Pattaya, and the bus goes straight to the airport with no stops in between.

Address: 316/24 Thappraya Road, Pattaya City, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri 20150, Thailand

The station sits at the junction of Thappraya Road and Thepprasit Road, in the Jomtien area of South Pattaya. If you know the Thepprasit Night Market, the station is very close to that intersection. Getting to Suvarnabhumi Airport From Jomtien

The route is simple. One operator, one destination, one price.

Roong Reuang Coach runs the only direct bus from Jomtien to Suvarnabhumi Airport. The ticket costs 162 THB and the journey takes around 2 hours on the motorway. Buses leave every hour starting at 06:00 and the last one goes at 22:00, same schedule in both directions.

Once you arrive, the bus drops you directly at the departures terminal. No extra taxi, no transfer, no confusion.

Bus From Jomtien To Bangkok: How to Buy a Ticket?

A lot of travelers assume they can just show up and pay by card. You cannot. The counter is cash only, Thai Baht, so make sure you have small bills ready before you arrive.

The safer option is to book online at rrcticket.com at least a day or two before you travel. Morning departures especially go fast on weekends and public holidays, and if the bus is full there is no backup plan except a taxi, which costs significantly more than 162 THB.

Once you have a booking confirmation, show it to the staff at the counter. They will check it and give you a boarding pass and baggage tag.

Facilities at Jomtien Bus Station

We arrived at Jomtien Bus Station with an hour to spare. The station is small, nothing like an airport terminal, but it was cool inside, the toilets were clean, and there was a kiosk right there for drinks. A Food Mart sits directly across the road if you need something before the journey.

How to Get to Jomtien Bus Station

From Jomtien Beach / South Pattaya: A very short Grab or Bolt ride, usually under 5 minutes. You can also walk if your hotel is close to Thappraya Road.

From Central Pattaya: Take a baht bus from Walking Street toward Jomtien Beach Road for 20 THB. Tell the driver you want the Thepprasit Road and Thappraya Road intersection. The ride takes around 10 minutes.

From North Pattaya: Around 20–30 minutes by Grab or taxi. Also you can take a songthaew heading toward Jomtien.

Tip: Do not leave too late. Traffic in Pattaya can be unpredictable, especially in the late afternoon. Give yourself at least 30 minutes before your departure time.

Arriving From Suvarnabhumi Airport to Jomtien

If you are coming from the airport, the bus will drop you off at Jomtien Bus Station on Thappraya Road near the Thepprasit Road intersection. From there:

Tips From Our Experience for Bus From Jomtien To Bangkok

We once arrived at Jomtien Bus Station ten minutes before departure thinking that was plenty of time. It was not. When we got there, most passengers were already on the bus and the driver was checking his watch.

That is the most important thing to know, the buses here are punctual. Arrive at least 30 minutes early. Also bring a light jacket because the air conditioning on board is seriously cold for a 2-hour ride. Pay cash at the counter in small Thai Baht bills, and if you are travelling on a weekend or during a Thai holiday, book your seat online 1–2 days ahead. Morning departures go fast.
