Hi Traveler, have you ever wondered which is the best beach in Pattaya for you? This blog gives you our Best Pattaya Beaches for Tourists review to help you pick the right spot for your holiday. Because not every beach in Pattaya is the same!

We have visited all the main beaches around Pattaya many times. From our experience, each beach has a very different vibe. Some are busy and fun. Others are quiet and relaxing. We will guide you through them step by step.

What Are the Best Pattaya Beaches for Tourists?

Pattaya has more beaches than most tourists expect. Here are the main ones we recommend:

All of these beaches are free to enter. No entry fee needed.

Pattaya Beach Best for Activities and Nightlife

Pattaya Beach is the most famous beach in Pattaya. It runs along Beach Road right in the center of town. If you want action, this is your spot.

You will find jet ski rentals, banana boats, and parasailing here. Street food vendors line the road nearby. The atmosphere is fun and busy, especially in the evenings.

Is Pattaya Beach free? Yes! You can walk, swim and set the mat or chairs for free.

How to get to Pattaya Beach? Take the blue songthaew (baht bus) from anywhere in Pattaya for just 10 THB.

Best time to visit Pattaya Beach: We recommend going in the morning around 7–10 AM. It is cooler and less crowded before the tour groups arrive.

Pattaya Beach is best for: tourists who want watersports, a lively atmosphere, and easy access to food and shopping.

Jomtien Beach Best for Families and Couples

Jomtien Beach is our personal favourite. It is located about 3 km south of Pattaya Beach. It is much less crowded.

We love to go here in the morning or late afternoon. You can swim comfortably and find beach massage services for around 300 THB per hour. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.

Is there an entry fee for Jomtien Beach? No. Jomtien Beach is completely free you can walk, swim and set the mat or chairs for free. Chair rental is around 100–200 THB per day.

How To get to Jomtien beach from Pattaya? Take the songthaew from Pattaya Beach for 10–20 THB. If you are coming from North Pattaya, it will be around 20 THB.

Best time to visit Jomtien Beach: We think anytime is fine at Jomtien. Early morning is especially nice. Sunrise here is beautiful.

Also, if you want to take a trip to Koh Larn, Bali Hai Pier is very close to Jomtien. You can combine your beach day with an island trip easily. Check our Koh Larn One Day Trip guide for more.

Jomtien Beach is best for: families, couples, and anyone who wants a calm and relaxing beach day.

Wong Amat Beach Best Quiet Beach in Pattaya

Wong Amat Beach is in North Pattaya, near Naklua area. It is a smaller and quieter beach compared to Pattaya Beach or Jomtien.

The water here is generally cleaner. You will find fewer tourists and a more local feel. Some good seafood restaurants are nearby as well.

How to get to Wong Amat Beach? Take the songthaew from North Pattaya for 10 THB. It is a short ride.

Wong Amat Beach is best for: tourists who want a peaceful beach away from the main crowds.

Dongtan Beach Best Chill Beach Near Jomtien

Dongtan Beach sits just at the southern end of Jomtien Beach. It is very easy to walk there from Jomtien Road.

Dongtan Beach is best for: couples and solo travelers who want a low-key, chilled beach experience.

Krating Lai Beach Best Hidden Beach Near Pattaya

Krating Lai Beach is the most natural beach near Pattaya. It is located south of Jomtien, and it feels very different from the other beaches. Less developed and more quiet.

If you want to escape the tourist crowds, this is a great option. We recommend going by scooter or car as public transport is not easy here.

Krating Lai Beach is best for: travelers who want a natural, off-the-beaten-path beach experience.
