About Pattaya Marathon 2025

The Pattaya Marathon is held annually with the support of Pattaya City. It’s a celebration of running, energy, and the breathtaking coastal scenery of the city, not just a race. A 5 km fun run, a 10 km mini-marathon, a 21 km half-marathon, and the full 42 km marathon are among the distances available to participants. Both experienced runners and first-time runners will enjoy the event because each category presents a different challenge.

Typically, the race schedule is spread out over two days:

  • Saturday: races of five and ten kilometers

  • Half and full marathons on Sunday

Before the race, you’ll need to pick up your race bib at the official expo area. Here’s what to know:

  • Bring your ID and registration confirmation.

  • You’ll receive your bib number running, bib timing chip, and a race T-shirt.

  • Your performance is tracked by the bib timing, and by scanning the QR code on the bib after you’re done, you can view your results online.

It is advisable to begin your preparations in advance if you plan to participate in the Pattaya half marathon. Start reducing your mileage and running light about two weeks prior to the race. To keep your legs feeling fresh, get plenty of rest and steer clear of strenuous exercise during the last two days. To keep your stomach comfortable the day before the half marathon, eat well-balanced meals high in carbohydrates and refrain from trying new foods.

For optimal performance, your body requires the proper fuel. Rice, pasta, fruits, and lean protein are the best foods to eat the day before a half marathon. Stay hydrated but avoid drinking too much water right before bedtime.
