Where to Find the Best Food in Pattaya?
Pattaya’s best restaurants are in three main areas: central Pattaya, Pattaya Beach Road, and Jomtien.
- Central Pattaya, Most variety, open late, good for couples
- Pattaya Beach Road, Beachfront dining, seafood focused
- Jomtien area, Local crowds, authentic Thai food, better prices
The best time to visit is 4 PM onwards, when locals and tourists fill the restaurants and the food quality peaks.
Lucky Suki, The Best Thai BBQ Experience in Pattaya
Is Lucky Suki worth visiting?
Yes. A thousand times yes. Lucky Suki is one of those rare restaurants where you understand why locals come back again and again. This is authentic Thai BBQ done righ, no fancy ambiance, no overpriced tourist menu, just incredible food cooked in front of you.

What is Lucky Suki? Must try food in pattaya
Lucky Suki is a traditional Thai suki yaki and hot pot restaurant that specializes in DIY table grilling. You get fresh ingredients, a pot of hot broth at your table, and you cook everything yourself. The quality of the meat is exceptional, we’re talking premium cuts that are thin-sliced and fresh. The seafood selection includes shrimp, squid, mussels, and fish that are delivered daily.
Our experience at Lucky Suki: We’ve been there a few times now. Honestly, you just come hungry and leave full. That’s the whole thing. The cooking at the table is fun, you grill your own meat, so there’s no standing around waiting for food to come out. Families and couples like it because everyone’s doing something, everyone’s eating at their own pace.
Lucky Suki location: Lucky Suki is in central Pattaya and south Pattaya. Easy to reach from most hotels. Just tell your Grab driver the name or show him Google Maps. Ask your hotel staff too; they know where it is because tourists go there all the time.
How to Get to Lucky Suki from Other Pattaya Areas
From Jomtien Beach: If you’re staying in Jomtien Beach Pattaya, Lucky Suki is about 10–15 minutes away by car or Grab. Take Jomtien Road heading north toward central Pattaya.
From your hotel: Simply tell your Grab driver or taxi the restaurant name, most drivers know it. Or provide them with the Google Maps pin. Journey time is usually 10–20 minutes depending on traffic.
Other Must-Eat Places in Pattaya You Should Visit
Pattaya’s food scene offers so much beyond Lucky Suki. Here are other must-eat restaurants and food experiences:
- Rom Pho BBQ Buffet, All-you-can-eat Korean BBQ with excellent meat quality and unlimited sides. If you are in Pattaya must eat this.
Best Time to Visit Pattaya for Food & Dining
November to February is the best time to eat in Pattaya. The weather is cool and dry. You won’t be sweating through dinner. Most tourists come during these months, so restaurants are packed with energy and variety.
May to October is low season. Fewer tourists. Restaurants are quieter and sometimes negotiate on prices. But it’s hot and humid, eating heavy Thai food in 35°C heat is not fun.
Bottom line: If you want the best food experience, come November to February. If you want cheaper prices and empty restaurants, come May to October.
Is it worth it?
Yeah. Go to Lucky Suki. We’ve been back multiple times, and honestly, we’d go again. The meat is fresh and quality, prices are fair, and you’re not fighting with tourists who don’t know what they’re doing.
If you’re hungry and want good Thai food cooked right in front of you, this is the place. We’ve been back multiple times, and we always bring visitors here. It’s one of those rare places where you understand why locals prefer it over tourist-focused restaurants.
