Ton Mai 126 Cafe Pattaya: Hidden Nature Cafe Near Pattaya (Ton Mai Cafe Review)
Most people who visit Pattaya stay on the beach the whole trip. But about 35 minutes outside the city, there is a cafe sitting quietly under a canopy of big old trees that most tourists never hear about. We found the Ton Mai 126 Cafe near Pattaya, we stopped there, and we want to tell you about it.

The cafe is called Ton Mai 126 Cafe, or as the locals write it, ร้านต้นไม้ 126 คาเฟ่. In Thai, “Ton Mai” (ต้นไม้) simply means “tree.” The name fits perfectly. When you arrive, the first thing you notice is not the building; it is the trees.
Ton Mai 126 Café (Pattaya Cafe Nearby)
Ton Mai 126 is a nature cafe in the Laem Chabang area of Chonburi province, located between Pattaya and Sriracha. It is not a fancy Instagram-only place. It is the kind of cafe where you actually want to sit, slow down, and spend an hour or two. The whole place is surrounded by greenery, and the main building is a beautiful dark wood A-frame structure that fits naturally into the trees around it.
The cafe has two seating areas, an air-conditioned room inside for those who want to escape the heat, and outdoor wooden terrace seating under the trees for anyone who wants to feel the breeze and enjoy the atmosphere. From our experience, the outdoor area is the reason to come here. It feels completely different from the concrete and noise of Pattaya.

There is free parking in front of the cafe. If you are riding a rented scooter from Pattaya, the road there is straightforward mostly highway with no complicated turns.

Why This Place Is Worth the Drive
From the moment you pull up, the place looks different from any cafe in Pattaya itself. The main building is built from dark hardwood in a steep triangle shape, floor-to-ceiling glass windows in the front, with ferns and tropical plants growing all around the base. Large, mature trees shade the entire outdoor terrace, which is made from solid wood decking with simple chairs and tables that feel right at home in the surroundings.
It is not a loud, busy tourist cafe. When we were there, it was quiet, calm, and genuinely comfortable. The staff were friendly and service was good, something that makes a real difference when you are trying to relax.
Food and Coffee at Ton Mai 126 Cafe
The menu covers both drinks and food, which is not always the case with nature cafes in Thailand. Many look beautiful but have almost nothing to eat. This one is different.
We ordered the crispy pork and Pad Krapow ( Thai basil stir-fry), and both were genuinely good. The crispy pork had the right texture, properly crunchy outside, soft inside, and the Pad Krapow had real heat and flavor, not the watered-down tourist version you sometimes get near the beach.
For drinks, the cafe serves coffee, Thai tea, cold drinks, and fruit-based beverages. The pricing is very reasonable, this is not a tourist-priced place. For a full meal and drinks for two people, expect to pay around 200–350 THB total, which is excellent value.
Opening hours:
- Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
- Saturday – Sunday: 8:00 – 17:00
Is Ton Mai 126 Cafe Worth the Trip from Pattaya?
Yes, if you have a scooter or a car and you want a break from the beach scene, this is exactly the kind of place that makes a day in Thailand feel different. It is not on any major tourist map, the prices are local prices, the food is real Thai food, and the environment is genuinely beautiful.
From our experience, go in the morning or early afternoon. The outdoor seating is best when it is not too hot, and on weekdays the place is quiet enough that you can actually sit and breathe. On weekends it gets busier with Thai families and locals from Laem Chabang and Sriracha.
