CEN Archery Da Nang

CEN Archery Da Nang review : what is CEN Archery & Coffee – Tea

Most tourists in Da Nang stick to the same list. Marble Mountains, Dragon Bridge, My Khe Beach. We think that’s a mistake. Right in Son Tra, an archery club Da Nang beats a rainy afternoon or a slow evening between beach days. Almost nobody talks about it yet. This blog gives you a full CEN Archery Da Nang review, price, opening hours, how to get there, and our honest experience.

Cen Archery Danang

CEN Archery Danang isn’t just a place to shoot a bow. Its full name is CEN Archery & Coffee Tea. As the name says, staff built an archery range inside a Japanese style cafe in Da Nang. Cherry blossom decorations, wooden interiors, Japanese lanterns, it doesn’t feel like a sports hall. It feels like a photo set. You can shoot arrows for an hour, then sit down with a coffee or milk tea. You can even rent a kimono for photos if you want.

CEN opened on January 1, 2025, so it’s still fairly new. Tour groups haven’t overrun it yet. The club has 20 archery lanes, each with its own bow and arrows. Instructors walk you through stance, grip, and aim before you start.

Where is CEN Archery Da Nang located?

CEN Archery location: 20 Võ Nghĩa, Phước Mỹ, Sơn Trà, Đà Nẵng, Vietnam

Also known as: CEN Archery Club, CEN Archery & Coffee – Tea, CLB Bắn Cung Đà Nẵng

Is there an entry fee for CEN Archery Da Nang?

There’s no entrance fee to walk into the café itself. You can sit down, order a drink, and enjoy the Japanese-style setting without paying anything extra.

Archery is where the fee comes in. One hour of archery costs 100,000 VND, and staff don’t limit how many arrows you shoot during that hour. That price already includes the bow, arrows, and coaching from staff. It’s cheap compared to most water sports or day-trip activities in Vietnam.

CEN Archery Da Nang opening hours

CEN opens every day from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Staff extend hours to 11:00 PM during Tết, or Lunar New Year. Because it stays open this late, it also works as an evening activity if your day is already packed.

How to get to CEN Archery Da Nang

CEN Archery sits in Son Tra, on the east side of the Han River, close to My Khe Beach. If you’re staying near the beach or in central Da Nang, try these options:

  • Grab / Bolt car: the easiest option, around 20,000–40,000 VND depending on where you’re coming from
  • Scooter: if you’re renting a bike in Da Nang, you’ll find a short and easy ride from most beachfront hotels
  • Taxi: widely available, just show the driver the address, 20 Võ Nghĩa, Sơn Trà

Things to do at CEN Archery Da Nang

Here are some things from our experience, and from what other visitors say too:

  • Book the 1-hour session. It’s enough time to learn the basics and start hitting the target.
  • Try the on-site coffee or milk tea after your session in the Japanese-style seating area.
  • Rent a kimono for photos if you want something different for your Instagram feed.
  • Bring kids from age 8+. The club accepts children for beginner sessions, but the draw weight of the bows means younger kids can’t join.
  • Go on a weekday afternoon if you want it quieter. Weekends bring bigger local crowds.

Our experience

We went on a slower afternoon, after finishing beach time earlier in the day. The instructor first showed us how to hold the bow, how to stand, and how to breathe before releasing. Archery tests your mind more than people expect, not just your body. It took a few arrows before anything landed close to the center. By the end of the hour, it clicked. No loud music, no crowd, just the sound of arrows landing. That’s a nice contrast after a day of busy sightseeing.

Afterward we sat down for a coffee right there. The whole visit felt less like “one more attraction to check off” and more like a proper break in the day.

Is it worth it?

Yes. Maybe you already read our Da Nang vs Pattaya comparison and you’re planning a Vietnam stop. If so, CEN Archery gives you one of the easiest ways to fill an hour with something different from temples and beaches. It’s affordable, it welcomes beginners, and the setting alone makes the trip out to Son Tra worth it.

Maybe you tried archery before at The Arrow Rest in Chiang Mai. CEN Archery Da Nang follows a similar idea sport plus coffee, just on the Vietnam side of your trip.
