1. Visit the Beaches Best Beaches in Pattaya April
April is still a great month for the beach in Pattaya. The sea is warm and mostly calm. Here are the beaches we recommend:
- Jomtien Beach Long, relaxed beach south of central Pattaya. Great for a morning swim and a walk along the beachfront road. No entry fee.
- Dongtan Beach Quieter and cleaner than the main beach. A great choice for couples.
- Wong Amat Beach Located in North Pattaya. Calmer atmosphere, good for families.
- Sattahip Military Beach A hidden gem south of Pattaya. Requires a small fee but the beach is clean and not crowded at all.
Our tip for April: Go to the beach early by 7:00 or 8:00 AM. By midday it gets very hot and crowded. Bring plenty of water.
2. Take a Day Trip to Koh Larn Island Songkran on the Island
One of the best things you can do in April is take a day trip Koh Larn. The sea is calm in April which makes the ferry ride smooth and the water around the island crystal clear. We love this island and we go there every chance we get.
The ferry departs from Bali Hai Pier in Pattaya and the journey takes around 30 minutes. Ticket price is very affordable. Once you arrive, you can explore beaches like Tawaen Beach, Samae Beach, Tien Beach, or the hidden Nual Beach.

Important note for April: Book your return ferry or arrange transport early. During Songkran and Thai holiday weeks, ferries and speedboats get very busy.
3. The Sanctuary of Truth Pattaya
If you want to escape the heat for a few hours and see something truly remarkable, visit The Sanctuary of Truth. This is a massive wooden temple built entirely without metal nails. It is one of the most impressive structures in all of Thailand.
It is not affected by weather or beach conditions so it is perfect for a hot April morning. Opening hours are usually 08:00–18:00. Entrance fee is around 500 THB for foreigners. It is located in North Pattaya, near Naklua Road.
4. Pattaya Floating Market
The Floating Market Pattaya is a great place to spend a morning in April. You can walk along the water, try local street food, shop for souvenirs, and see traditional Thai boats. It is a good option for families and couples. There is shade and the market opens early, so you can enjoy it before the afternoon heat peaks.
5. Pattaya City View Point
For one of the best panoramic views over Pattaya Bay, head to Pattaya View Point. We recommend going in the late afternoon around 17:00–18:30. The light is softer and the temperature drops a little. The view over the city and the sea at that time is really beautiful.
Entry is free. You can drive or take a songthaew up. The road is steep so be careful if you go on a scooter.
6. Try Go-Karting at Easy Karting

If you are looking for something active and fun that is not outdoor-heat-dependent, EasyKart Pattaya on Thepprasit Road is a great option. You can spend an hour or two there easily. This is also a perfect plan B during an afternoon April rain shower.
7. Explore the Night Markets
April evenings in Pattaya are warm and perfect for exploring the night markets. The temperature is much more comfortable after dark usually around 27–30°C (81–86°F).
From our experience, here are the best night markets to visit:
- Thepprasit Night Market The biggest and most popular. Great street food, clothes, souvenirs.
- Jomtien Night Market More local feel. Good food at very good prices.
- Pattaya Street Food Market Great variety of Thai dishes at very affordable prices.

April is one of the busiest months for nightlife in Pattaya. Walking Street and Soi 6 are very lively, especially during and after Songkran week.
From our experience: During Songkran week (April 13–14 and April 18–19), Walking Street gets extremely crowded. Go early or prepare for long queues at bars. If you prefer something more relaxed, Jomtien Beach Road has a nice evening atmosphere with bars and restaurants right on the sea.
