Important: At the gate, the driver must leave an ID card or passport with the guard. You will receive it back when you exit. This is standard procedure for all visitors.

The Route : Pattaya to Sattahip Military Beach Step by Step
Starting from Jomtien:
- Head south on Jomtien Beach Road, then merge onto Sukhumvit Road (Route 3) heading south
- Drive past Bang Saray, you can stop here for coffee if you want
- Continue south on Sukhumvit Road toward Sattahip
- After around 25–30 km from Jomtien, you will see the Royal Thai Navy entrance gate on the left
- Stop at the checkpoint, present your passport or ID, and leave it with the guard
- Drive through the base to the beach, follow the signs inside
What to Expect at the Entrance Gate
This is a military-controlled area, so the entry process is different from a regular beach.

- You must present a passport or ID card, for foreigners, a passport is recommended. Some guards accept a photo of your passport on your phone, but it is always safer to bring the original.
- The driver leaves their ID card with the guard, you get it back on the way out
- Entry fee: 100 THB for foreigners, 50 THB for Thai nationals
- Opening hours: 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily
Do not worry, the process is quick and the guards are friendly. It takes only a minute or two.
Tips for the Journey
- Go early if you arrive around 9:00–10:00 AM, the beach is quiet and you will easily find a good spot under the pine trees near the shore
- Bring your passport do not rely only on a phone photo. It is better to have the real document with you
- Stop in Bang Saray on the way, you can stop for breakfast or coffee in Bang Saray village. It is a nice small fishing town about halfway between Jomtien and Sattahip
- Bring cash the entrance fee is paid in cash at the gate
