MIDO Hotel Pattaya Review: Is It Worth?
One of the popular questions travelers ask when planning a trip to Pattaya is: Where should I stay in Pattaya without overpaying? We stayed at the MIDO Hotel Pattaya, and in this article, we will give you our honest review, the good parts, and the not-so-good parts. We will guide you through our experiences here step by step.

What Is MIDO Hotel Pattaya?
MIDO Hotel Pattaya is a 4-star hotel located in the North Pattaya, Central Pattaya and Naklua area. It is a property with 72 rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness, a restaurant, and free parking. The hotel is known for good value for money and a clean environment.
From our experience, this is a hotel that targets couples, business travelers, and tourists who want a quiet area away from the loud central beach road, but still want to be close enough to everything.
Nearby landmarks:
- Health Land Spa & Massage, 5-minute walk
- Terminal 21 Pattaya, 19-minute walk (or 5-minute drive)
- Pattaya Beach, 2-minute drive (1.9 km)
- North Pattaya Bus Terminal, very close, easy transport to Bangkok
- The Sanctuary of Truth, about 10 minutes by car
MIDO Pattaya Hotel
When we arrived. Here is what we found inside:
- Air conditioning (worked well)
- Flat-screen TV
- Coffee and tea maker
- Work desk with laptop-friendly workspace
- In-room safe
- Balcony with city views
- Private bathroom with shower, free toiletries, and hair dryer
- Blackout curtains
- Free WiFi (100+ Mbps)
The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The balcony view from the 15th floor gave a nice perspective over the North Pattaya area.
One thing to note: When we checked in, no one explained anything about breakfast, the facilities, or how the hotel works. You just get the key and that’s it. For first-time visitors this can be a little confusing, so we are telling you this in advance so you are prepared.
MIDO Hotel Pattaya Parking
If you are arriving by car or motorbike, MIDO Hotel Pattaya has free parking available on site. This is a big advantage if you are renting a scooter in Pattaya or driving your own car. Parking is free for hotel guests.
MIDO Hotel Fitness Center (Gym)
We visited the fitness center during our stay. From our experience:
- The gym is small in size
- The equipment is older and some machines were not in the best condition
- If you are a serious gym person or a runner training for a race, this gym will not meet your expectations
- For light exercise or a casual workout, it is fine
If fitness is important to you, we recommend checking out other gym options near Pattaya. Also, if you are a runner, Running in Pattaya is a great guide for outdoor routes in the area.
MIDO Hotel Swimming Pool
The swimming pool at MIDO Hotel Pattaya is honestly one of the highlights of the property. It is an outdoor pool with a good design and a photogenic look. Many guests praise the pool in reviews, and from our experience, this is fair.

The pool area is good, the atmosphere is relaxed, and it is a good place to spend time if you are not heading to the beach that day. If you want to compare beach options nearby, you can check our guide for Wong Amat Beach and Pattaya Beach.
Our Customer Experience
We will be honest with you here, because that is why you are reading this.
The room was good and comfortable, the pool was okay , and the free parking is something we always appreciate in Pattaya because not every hotel offers it. The location in the North Pattaya area felt quiet and relaxed, but we were still close enough to everything we needed. WiFi was fast and reliable throughout the stay, and overall for the price we paid, we felt the value was fair.
That said, there are things we want to warn you about before you book.
Breakfast is not included in the standard rate. The fitness center was a disappointment. The equipment was old and some of the machines were simply not working, which is something we did not expect from a 4-star property.
The biggest surprise for us was the language barrier at check-in. The staff we dealt with spoke only Chinese, no English, no Thai. For a hotel that is clearly targeting international guests and appears on Booking.com for travelers from around the world, this made even basic communication difficult.
Is There a Restaurant at MIDO Hotel Pattaya?
Yes, MIDO Hotel has a restaurant and a bar on site. You can eat at the hotel if you do not want to go out. However, North Pattaya and the Naklua area have many local food options within walking distance. From our experience we also recommend exploring the area around the hotel for local Thai food.
How to Get to MIDO Hotel Pattaya
By car or motorbike: Head toward North Pattaya Road. The hotel is at North Pattaya Road. Free parking is available.
By bus from Bangkok: The North Pattaya Bus Terminal is very close to the hotel, this is a big advantage. You can take the bus from Ekkamai or Mo Chit in Bangkok or from Suvarnabhumi Airport . Read our full guide: How to Use North Pattaya Bus Station.
By Grab or Bolt: You can order a Grab or Bolt car from anywhere in Pattaya to reach the hotel easily.
MIDO Hotel Pattaya: Is It Worth It?
From our honest experience, yes, for the price, MIDO Hotel is worth considering, especially if:
- You want a quiet location in North Pattaya, Central Pattaya and Naklua
- You are arriving by car and need free parking
- You want a nice pool to relax at
- You prefer a clean, standard hotel room without paying luxury prices
However, if you need a good gym, laundry service, or included breakfast, you may want to look at other options in Pattaya. We personally chose a different hotel for our next stay, you can check our list of Pattaya accommodation options here:
- Lumpini Ville Naklua a condo option in the same Naklua area
