Both companies depart from Level 1, Gate 8 of the Arrivals Hall at Bangkok Airport. When you exit customs and collect your bags, go down to Level 1 and look for Gate 8. You will see the ticket counters there. It is not hard to find.

Here are some things we learned from taking this bus many times:
- Go to Gate 8 first. When you land, collect your bags and go straight to Gate 8 on Level 1 before doing anything else especially during busy times.
- Bring cash. The ticket counters work with cash. Have Thai Baht ready to avoid any delay.
- The bus is cold. Bring a light jacket. The air conditioning is very strong on Thai buses.
- Last bus is at 21:00. If your flight lands after 21:00, the bus is no longer running. In that case, you will need Grab or a metered taxi to Pattaya expect to pay around 1,500–2,000 THB.
- Book in advance during high season. From November to February and during Songkran holidays, buses fill up fast. Better to book online at rrcticket.com or belltravelservice.com before you arrive.
- Journey is around 2 hours. The bus uses the motorway most of the way, so the time is usually stable. Friday evenings and long weekends can have more traffic.
