Jomtien Bus Station Pattaya: Your Complete Guide to the Airport Bus

We arrived at Jomtien Bus Station with two big bags and a flight to catch. It was 8 in the morning. The bus to Suvarnabhumi Airport was already waiting at the platform, and a small queue of travelers was checking in their luggage. Fifteen minutes later, we were on the road, and we paid only 162 THB each. This blog provides a Jomtien Bus Station Pattaya review to give you all the information you need before you go.

What Is Jomtien Bus Station?

Jomtien Bus Station or Jomtien Suvarnabhumi Airport Bus Station, is one of the 2 main bus stations in Pattaya. While North Pattaya Bus Station handles routes to Bangkok city terminals like Ekkamai and Mo Chit, Jomtien Bus Station is the main hub for direct buses to and from Suvarnabhumi Airport.

For travelers who stay in Jomtien, this station is the most convenient departure point. It is much closer than going all the way to North Pattaya, and the route goes straight to the airport, no stops in between.

The station is operated by Roong Reuang Coach Co., Ltd. the same company that runs the Bangkok routes from North Pattaya.

Pattaya Jomtien Bus Station Location and Address

It is located at the junction of Thappraya Road and Thepprasit Road, in the Jomtien area of South Pattaya. If you know the Thepprasit Night Market, the station is very close to that intersection.

The station is about 5 to 6 kilometers from Walking Street and only a few minutes from the main Jomtien Beach Road. If you are staying in one of the Jomtien condos or resorts, this is likely the most convenient bus station for you.

Jomtien Bus Station to Suvarnabhumi Airport: Schedule and Price

This is the main route at Jomtien Bus Station, and it is the reason most travelers use this stop.

Price: 162 THB per person

Journey time: Approximately 2 hours

Operator: Roong Reuang Coach (RRC)

The schedule runs both directions, from Jomtien to the airport and from the airport back to Jomtien.

Buses depart every hour starting from 06:00 until 22:00. The same schedule applies for buses from Suvarnabhumi Airport back to Jomtien.

Important: The bus arrives and drops off passengers directly at the airport terminal for departures. This is very convenient, no extra transfers needed once you arrive.

How to Buy a Ticket at Jomtien Bus Station

Is it cash only? Yes. At the station counter you are required to pay cash (Thai baht), and there will be no credit/debit card payments at the station counter. However, you can book online in advance at the official site.

From our experience: We recommend buying your ticket at least 2 to 3 days before your travel date. Buses on popular departure times, especially morning slots, sell out quickly. If you arrive at the station the same morning without a booking, you may find that all seats are already gone.

When you have a booking confirmation email from an online booking, bring it to the station staff. They will check it and give you a boarding pass and baggage tag.

Arriving from Suvarnabhumi Airport: What to Expect

If you are coming from the airport to Jomtien, the bus will drop you off at Jomtien Bus Station on Thappraya Road, near the Thepprasit Road intersection.

From there, you can:

Take a Grab or Bolt car directly to your hotel
Take a songthaew (baht bus) along Jomtien Beach Road for 20 THB
Get a taxi from the taxi stand outside the station

If you are staying in one of the beachside condos in Jomtien, such as Laguna Beach Resort 2, Laguna Beach Resort 3, or Copacabana Beach Jomtien, you will be just a short Grab ride from the station.

How to Get to Jomtien Bus Station

From Jomtien Beach / South Pattaya: A very short Grab or Bolt ride, usually under 5 minutes. You can also walk if your hotel is close to Thappraya Road.

If you’re in Central Pattaya, you can catch a baht bus from Walking Street to Jomtien Beach Road for only 20 baht; the trip is about 10 minutes long. When you get on the bus, tell the driver you want to get off at the intersection of Thepprasit Road and Thappraya Road.

From North Pattaya: Travel time is around 20 to 30 minutes by taxi or Grab. Also you can take a songthaew toward Jomtien direction.

Tip: Do not leave too late. Traffic in Pattaya can be unpredictable, especially in the late afternoon. Give yourself at least 30 minutes before departure time.

Tips From Our Experience

Arrive early. Boarding starts 15 minutes before the departure time. If you miss the bus, your ticket is expired and cannot be used for the next one.
Bring something warm. The air conditioning on the bus is strong. A light jacket or sweater makes the 2-hour ride much more comfortable.
Book 1-2 days ahead. Popular morning buses fill up fast, especially on weekends and during Thai holidays.
Cash only at the counter. Bring Thai Baht in small bills.
The bus is punctual. From our experience, the buses leave on time. Do not underestimate the departure time.
