Where to Stay in Hoi An : Beachfront Hotel Hoi An Review

One of the hardest parts of planning a Hoi An trip is choosing where to sleep. The old town looks great in photos, but it can be loud and full of people. On the other hand, the beach is calmer, but it is a little farther away. We stayed at Beachfront Hotel Hoi An, so in this blog we will share what we loved and who it fits best.

Where Is the Best Area to Stay in Hoi An?

Most travelers pick one of three areas:

  • Hoi An Old Town: You can walk to cafes, shops, and the river. However, at night it more busy.

  • An Bang Beach: It has so many bars and restaurants. It is a good mix of town and sea.

  • Cua Dai Beach: This part is more quieter and has more space. This is where we stayed.

Where to Stay in Hoi An

In short, there is no wrong choice. It depends on the trip you want.

Why We Chose Beachfront Hotel Hoi An

First, we wanted a calm place with a pool and the beach close by. Also, after busy days in Da Nang, we just wanted to slow down. That is why we picked Cua Dai.

The hotel is on Lac Long Quan street in Cua Dai. It is about a 3-minute walk to Cua Dai Beach. Besides that, it has an outdoor pool, a garden, free parking, and a private beach area.

Our Experience at Beachfront Hotel Hoi An

The Beach (Where to stay in Hoi An Vietnam)

From our experience, this was a great place to slow down. The best part was the beach. We walked to Cua Dai Beach in about 3 minutes, so we could go in the morning before the heat. Also, the hotel has a private beach area, so we never felt rushed.

The Pool

The pool was another happy surprise. After the beach, we jumped in the pool because the place was calm and peaceful, we got the rest we needed. Our room was good and nice for us, also the staff was really welcoming and helpful.

How Far Is It from Hoi An Old Town?

It is about 5 km (3 miles). Because of the heat, it is too far to walk, but it is easy by car. It takes around 10 minutes if traffic is light. For example, you can order a Grab, take a taxi, or rent a bike or scooter. The hotel shuttle can help too.

Is This Hotel Good for You?

It is a great if:

  • You like quiet places.
  • You want a pool and a beach close by.
  • You travel as a couple or a family.
  • You are happy to take a short ride into town.

However, it may not fit if you want to walk to the old town every night. Likewise, it may not fit if you want free breakfast at the hotel.

Tips Before You Book

  • Check the weather. Hoi An gets a lot of rain, mostly from about September to December. So, plan your beach days for dry weather.
  • Plan breakfast. Since the hotel does not include it, a Vietnamese coffee and a banh mi nearby is an easy start.
  • Book early. Weekends and holidays full booked fast.
