Tum Pang Beach Ko Sichang
Hi Traveler, have you ever wondered about Tum Pang Beach Koh Sichang? This blog provides a Tum Pang Beach review to give you more information and help you decide on your next destination. Tum Pang Beach isn’t just a beach; it is the only proper sandy beach on Koh Sichang, where you can swim, and it has some of the cheapest sunbed prices we have ever seen in Thailand.
What is Tum Pang Beach Koh Sichang?
Tum Pang Beach is a beautiful sandy beach located on the west coast of Ko Si Chang Island, Chonburi Province, Thailand. You may also see it written as Tampang Beach, Tham Phang Beach, or Hat Tham Phang. These are all in the same place, just different spellings. In Thai the name is หาดถ้ำพัง.
This beach is special because most of Koh Sichang’s coastline is rocky. Tum Pang Beach is the one spot on the island where you get real sand, calm water, and a proper place to swim and relax. If you are looking for a beach day on Koh Sichang, this is the place to come.
The beach faces west, which also means you can catch a nice view of the sunset from here. The atmosphere is quiet and local not overcrowded with tourists, and very laid back. Compared to the beaches around Pattaya or Koh Larn, Tum Pang Beach feels like a hidden corner that most people don’t even know exists.
Tum Pang Beach Koh Sichang From Our Experience
For this article, we will share our experience when we visited Tum Pang Beach at Koh Sichang. First of all, we rented a scooter after arriving by ferry from Sri Racha and we rode toward the west side of the island. The road to Tum Pang Beach is easy to follow just ride along the main road and follow the signs. We will guide you through our experience here step by step.
When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was how peaceful and quiet it was. The water was clear and calm very good for swimming. The beach itself is sandy, which is quite rare on this island because most other areas are rocky. There are rocky areas on the left and right sides of the bay, which makes it a good spot for snorkeling too if you want to explore a little further.
The beach is not big, but it has everything you need for a relaxing beach day. There are local vendors, food and drinks available, beach chairs to rent, and even water activities if you want some fun. We stayed for a good few hours and it was hard to leave.
One thing that really surprised us was the price of the sunbed rental. Only 30 THB for the whole day. We have rented sunbeds at Koh Larn, Jomtien, and Pattaya Beach and none of them come close to this price. This is honestly one of the cheapest beach chairs we have found anywhere in Thailand.
Is There an Entry Fee for Tum Pang Beach?
No entry fee. You can walk onto Tum Pang Beach for free. There is no gate and no ticket. You only pay if you want to rent a sunbed, shower, or use any of the water activities which are all very affordable as we explain below.
