Our Experience at the Marine Museum Koh Sichang
For this article, we want to share what it was actually like when we visited. Every time we come to Koh Si Chang, this museum is on our list and each time we find something new.
We arrived by walk from the accommodation . The entrance area is calm and not crowded compared to the bigger attractions on the island. Once inside, we walked slowly through the tanks and exhibits. The sea turtles were our favorite you can see them swimming very close to the glass. The moray eels are a little scary but very cool to watch!
What surprised us the most this time was discovering the blue crab ice cream being sold nearby a very local and unusual flavor that you should try if you are brave enough. We also saw the rainbow cuttlefish eggs, which look almost unreal bright and colorful like something from a science fiction movie.
We will guide you through more of this in our upcoming video.
Is the Marine Museum Koh Sichang Worth Visiting?
Absolutely yes. Especially because it is free. The Marine Museum Koh Sichang is a great stop for:
- Families with children the tanks and live animals are exciting for kids
- Couples looking for something different from temples and beaches
- Anyone interested in Thai marine life and conservation
It is not a big museum, so it pairs perfectly with the Phra Chudadhuj Palace and Asdang Bridge nearby. Plan around 30–45 minutes here.
